At Sawgrass Rods we believe in bringing the best product we can to market. It is not a revolutionary idea. But it is one we find many people proclaim before they start to cut a corner here or skip a step there to get their product to market at their targeted price.
Sawgrass does not do that. We build a rod to the best of our abilities and price it accordingly.

There are literally thousands of excellent fly rods available for anglers in all price points. Import rods are not what they used to be and now represent not only value but cutting-edge performance.
The New Moon 3-12wts. fills a void. Even with a flooded market of excellent rods there are few one-piece fly rods and even fewer that are made in the USA.
As noted in various marketing videos and verbiage, this rod is not for everyone. If you do not have nearly full-time access to a boat and/or keep your rods in a rod rack, a one-piece fly rod is a terrible idea. They are simply too difficult to transport.
However, if you have one of those things a one-piece rod is pleasure to cast. The truest action and the lightest build possible. Truly the best rod fly rod one can bring to market. Even with improved ferrule technology there is still a small impact on the action.
The Sawgrass New Moon fly rods ($699.95) are made on Northfork Composite blanks with a custom REC seat and a combination of Recoil and Ceracoil guides. The grips are custom made with the highest quality cork available. The entire line is saltwater safe and finished with a full-wells and a fighting butt (including the new 3wt.).
